Intensifican acciones para prevenir el dengue en Acapulco
CHILPANCINGO, Gro., 22 de enero de 2014. A pesar de ocupar el quinto lugar a nivel nacional con mayor extensión forestal, el estado de Guerrero no compite con otras entidades en explotación forestal sustentable, lamentó el subgerente de Producción y Productividad de la Comisión Nacional Forestal (Conafor), Sergio Landeros Sánchez.
El funcionario puntualizó que de las 6.4 millones de hectáreas que tiene el estado de Guerrero, más de 4 millones tienen vocación forestal.
De acuerdo al Programa Estatal Forestal, los bosques, selvas y otras áreas forestales cubren 5.2 millones de hectáreas en Guerrero y cerca de 4 millones de hectáreas son ocupadas por bosques templados y tropicales, que representan el 7 por ciento de la cobertura forestal nacional y sitúan a Guerrero como el quinto estado con mayor extensión forestal.
De acuerdo al informe, Guerrero tiene una pérdida forestal promedio de 42 mil 101 hectáreas anuales.
Landeros Sánchez subrayó que la entidad posee las condiciones necesarias para impulsar la explotación forestal sustentable.
Esta explotación, dijo, elevaría el nivel de vida de los dueños y poseedores de espacios forestales.
Subrayó que la Conafor abrió cinco ventanillas en Guerrero para recibir solicitudes de apoyo de los dueños de recursos forestales en seis vertientes: estudios y proyectos, desarrollo y capacidades, restauración forestal y reconversión productiva, producción y productividad, servicios ambientales y cadenas productivas.
“Tenemos ejemplos exitosos en las regiones, hay algunos que están entrando a la parte de explotación tenemos productos no maderables que vienen del maguey, sus productos los están fomentando para exportar a Alemania”, destacó.
Puntualizó que otro ejemplo de éxito es el ejido de Llanos de la puerta, en el municipio de San Marcos, donde los pobladores obtuvieron permisos de aprovechamiento y ahora se dedican a la fabricación de carbón.
